Position: Customer Service Controls Engineer III
DUTIES: Responsible for the upkeep, debugging, and upgrading of control systems. Serve as key participant in the customer support phases as required to meet the functionality of the customer’s system within time and system availability constraints. Improve and develop software tools and processes utilized by the Controls Group to increase productivity and effectiveness. Support Customer Service personnel, including Applications, Engineering, Sales, Customer Support, and Parts. Improve and harmonize Controls Engineering methods and procedures; Support the improvement of MDE Quality systems. Responsible for the successful design of control systems to meet customer needs and upgrades. Demonstrate proper application of Mikron standard controls materials and practices. Support Validation team to create and test validation package per customer’s specifications.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: This position requires 7 years of experience in related technical and engineering positions. Must also have 24 months of experience (which may have been gained concurrently) with each of the following: (1) Working with customers and suppliers during design, implementation and after FAT/SAT, including customer support both remote and on site for critical controls support, using SAP and Autodesk Inventor/Autocad; (2) Electrical design and monitoring (electrical schematics, hardware definition, recommend purchase of equipment) according to custom specifications/per application; (3) Programming on different platforms, including Allen-Bradley Controllogix, Siemens S7, and PC-based real-time (IEC 61131), C++/C#; Cognex In-Sight vision system and image setup (lighting); (4) Establishing software, hardware, and technical supplier documentation; and (5) Working with validation standards, including OT, IT, OQ, HDS, pFMEA, FAT, and SAT. Salary: $95,000 to $110,000/year. Full-time, position located in Englewood, CO. 40% domestic and international travel required to visit customer sites. Company drug testing required for employment.
