Your main tasks

The Shipping and Receiving Manager will be responsible for verifying and recording inbound and outbound shipments while providing overview of the shipping and receiving team. The Shipping and Receiving Manager will hold the responsibility of communicating effectively with all internal departments within MIKRON, and ensuring all components are released to the appropriate Project team in a timely manner.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop the Shipping and receiving department and monitor KPIs to ensure the department meets the Companies requirements
  • Receive incoming parts from outside suppliers
  • Count and verify delivery matches packing slip
  • Compare packing slips to purchase orders
  • Record entries into ERP system
  • Load and unload equipment off trucks
  • Inspect, accept, reject inbound shipments
  • Communicates and coordinates with appropriate buyer for product returns/repairs
  • Label incoming parts and allocate them to their designated location
  • Delivers product to appropriate personnel
  • Package and ship UPS small package orders: domestic and international
  • Coordinate large shipments with project teams and shipping companies: domestic and international
  • Perform daily inventory counts
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Manage the members of the Shipping and Receiving Management department with a focus on budget, schedule, and risks
  • Collaborate with other Project Manager and Functional Manager to streamline activities and share technical difficulties.
  • Monitor and manage stock inventory and organize audit to check the accuracy of the stock
  • Organize periodic team meeting with the members of the department.
  • Provide cockpits and delivery charts to the SMM meeting.
     

Required Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills

  • BS degree or 5 years of relevant working experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience
  • Ability to communicate in an open, clear, precise and effective manner with peers and management
  • Detail orientated 
  • Ability to use a pallet jack
  • Certified on a fork lift truck
  • Excellent organization 
  • Ability to make sound decisions, working independently and within a team structure
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced work environment
  • Working knowledge in MS Word, Excel or similar computer software systems

Additional Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Must be able to travel as requested
  • Must be available to work overtime
  • May be required to work off shift hours and Holidays
  • Must have a valid state Driver license
