Your main tasks

Our Mechanical Engineer Level II will be responsible for the mechanical engineering of equipment during the design, assembly, and debug phases of any Mikron Corporation Denver projects. Our ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently and within a team structure. Thrive in a fast-paced work environment and be able to make sound decisions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to collaborate with suppliers as requested by Engineering Manager or ME Team Lead
  • Must be able to improve and develop mechanical engineering practices as requested by Engineering Manager or ME Team Lead
  • Participate in project design reviews
  • Responsible for successful design of systems to meet the budget and time expectations as defined by the ME Team Lead
  • Design stations based on project internal URS defined by ME Team Lead
  • Design critical stations with support of the ME Team Lead
  • Design mechanical cams of critical stations with support of ME Team Lead
  • Support Validation team to create validation package per customer’s specifications
  • Support Software Design Specification with the Control Engineer
  • Navigate ERP system efficiently to release stations
  • Able to create and review content of the assembly start package as requested by ME Team Lead
  • Support debug activities on the floor as requested by ME Team Lead
  • Able to design pneumatic schematics following project specific requirements
  • Able to create accurate and timely generating the Mechanical Engineering documentation package assigned to each customer project
  • Assisting experienced ME’s with station designs and 2D drawing package
  • Identify mistakes in 2D drawings from peers

Required Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

  • Highschool Diploma, or equivalent is preferred
  • BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or 7 years of relevant working experience
  • Successfully achieve Mechanical Engineer Level I expectations
  • Knowledge of industry accepted engineering practices
  • Support Mechanical Engineers Level I on engineering activities Company
