Your main tasks
The Engineering Services Software Engineer (SENG) contributes to Mikron Denver by programming, testing, and debugging Mikron Polyfeed platforms. They support Applications and Sales by testing parts that could be fed using a Polyfeed, as well as supporting projects during debug, FAT and SAT efforts.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Attends ENGS Project Design reviews
- Support Validation team to test validation package per customer’s specifications
- Demonstrate knowledge of Shaman programming methods for integration of machine Vision systems
- Demonstrate methods for completion of the application specific configuration using the Mikron developed tool “MOOS configurator” and inputs from Mechanical Engineering
- Demonstrate knowledge of Polyfeed commissioning procedure
- Participate in debug activities on the floor
- Responsible for accurately and timely generation of the Polyfeed documentation package assigned to each customer project
- Coordinate with project Controls Engineer to establish the communication between Polyfeed and production line
- Be in regular communication with internal customer project manager
- Provide inputs on currently quoted Polyfeed systems when required
- Provide testing using customer parts and Polyfeed to support Sales and Applications
- Travel to customer sites for final integration of systems
- Support FAT and SAT efforts
Required Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
- Bachelor of Science in engineering or at least 2 years of experience in software programing or controls engineering
- Effectively diagram control system communication networks
- Troubleshoot motor drive
- Interpret pneumatic schematics
