Your main tasks
As a Vision Engineer II you are responsible for vision engineering of equipment during the design, assemble, and debug phases of various projects. A Vision Engineer II will generate quotes based on customer URS. In addition, you will review customer URS to isolate all vision requirements and properly utilize and demonstrate proficiency with the vision test bench. You will be responsible in finding the most effective configurations for checks using innovative approaches, and will also help review vision quotes.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support Mechanical Engineers during the design process
- Generate the electrical discussion document
- Support the design of the Software Design Specification with the Controls Engineering department
- Conduct Rp3 with customers independently
- Perform setup, debug and fine tuning of vision systems
- Support mechanical Engineers & Mechanical technicians for debug modification on the production floor
- Validation support on the floor (on demand)
Required Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
- 5 years of experience in industrial vision
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge in vision 3D hardware and software, 2D vision understanding and optical theory
- Bachelor of Science degree, or 7 years of relevant working experience with clear aptitude in core skills and competencies
- Successfully achieved Vision Engineering Level 1 expectations
- Knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook
