The number of lines we are supporting is always increasing
The last few years have been both very busy and very successful for the service department. The number of installed lines we support is always increasing, and as those lines reach important milestones, in-depth maintenance projects are becoming a standard.
As a result, the department has been expanded and has been reorganised with improved systems put in place to enhance our service and spares response times. So that now we not only have more people in the Boudry office, but in some major markets, dedicated and experienced local support. And as I write we are looking at increasing our local presence still further in several countries.
As time passes by, technology advances, parts age and become difficult to source or even obsolete, and this is especially true for electronic items. As you would expect from a world class supplier such as Mikron, Mikron is well aware of this and actively works to anticipate such eventualities.
Update of important systems
Mikron has already identified a number of important systems where an upgrade solution is either needed now or in the very near future. As a result, we now have upgrades available for the following:
- G05 PC and HMI upgrade
- Flexcell PC and HMI upgrade
- Polyfeed (PFD) PC upgrade
- Tray Handler (PAL) PC upgrade
- Compax II to Compax III
- Sony LT100 to either Keyence GT3 or Sony MG10/20-DP
Training to bring you the skills and the confidence in our systems
We are proud to put at your service a brand new training concept with a dedicate place. The latest machines are there, ready for you to "play" with them in a safe way. Interactive HMI's, dedicated specific as well as standard training programms are now in place. A wonderfull opportunity to refresh the knowledge of existing personal as for any new employees working on a mikron machine.
A number of future projects
Mikron also has a number of projects looking at systems which although still current will need upgrade options available in the next few years. These upgrades will be announced in future newsletters.
