Mikron Automation Boudry Celebrates Topping-Out of Its Site Expansion
Boudry, September 19, 2025 – Mikron Automation Boudry today celebrated the topping-out ceremony of its site expansion, BoudryNext, in the presence of local authorities, the Neuchâtel Economic Service, Bat-Mann, the company managing the project and Mikron Management. This milestone marks the building being made watertight and confirms that construction is progressing on schedule.
In their speeches, Matthieu Aubert (Head of Neuchâtel Economic Service), Pascal Chapuisod (Mayor of the municipality), Patrick Savoy (Director of Bat-Mann), and Lorenz Buri (General Manager of Mikron Automation Boudry) praised the excellent collaboration between all partners, the innovation driven by the project, and the value it will create for the region. They also expressed their gratitude to the teams of workers, craftsmen, and engineers who are driving this ambitious project forward at an impressive pace.
Since the start of construction, significant milestones have been achieved, including the completion of two basement levels for the future parking area below the additional production hall. Next to it, the metal structure and roof framework are now complete, and windows have been installed, giving shape to the future Smart Office and Tech Center.
The additional customer components storage has been designed to meet the highest standards of traceability and confidentiality, ensuring absolute compliance with our customers’ trust and responsibilities.
In line with its commitment to innovation and sustainability, Mikron Automation has opted for eco-friendly concrete developed by EPFL, reducing energy consumption by 40% and CO₂ emissions by 20%.
The topping-out ceremony followed by a friendly meal also served as an opportunity to thank all partners and construction teams for their dedication and exemplary work. The expanded site, which will soon host new workspaces and collaboration areas, represents a key step in supporting our customers and preparing for the future.
