Your main tasks
The Buyer is responsible for supporting Procurement activity, Supplier Management and project teams during design, assembly and debug phases of Mikron projects. Another key function of this role is to support company goals, values, and operating principles.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Supplier Management
- Assist in the development of local supplier base
- Better quality and inspection reports from suppliers
- Qualify new suppliers per Mikron’s ISO 13485 standards
- Adhere to all ISO 13485 procedures and work instructions.
- Participate in supplier evaluation as required by Mikron’s ISO 13485 procedures
Purchasing
- Issue Quote requests, issue Purchase orders, enter acknowledgements and follow up on information as directed
- Maintain good working relationships with suppliers
- Assist Accounts Payable to resolve invoice discrepancies as needed
- Work with shipping & receiving to resolve vendor discrepancies on inbound deliveries
- Supplier price negotiations
- General knowledge of common commodities of Metal Fabrications, Machined Parts, electrical, mechanical, automation products to support overall operations
- Understanding of engineering documentation, manufacturing process, methods, and procedures
- Skill in reading and understanding engineering specifications, schematics, and prints
- Local supplier knowledge. Add to local supplier team for quicker turn around and better quality. Quick turn parts

Required Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Supply Chain or 1 year of relevant working experience
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP a plus)
- Follow all safety policies, precautions, and procedures
- Follow department working instructions from manager
- Follow daily work activities defined by supervisor
- Timely participation in meetings
- Perform critical tasks of the role satisfactorily within 6 months of hire date with little or no supervision
- Ability to Multi-task. Be able to handle multiple projects at the same time, and be able to self manage time constraint
- Proficient in Microsoft suite. Excel, Power Point, Word
Additional Requirements
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must have a valid state driver license
- Must be able to work overtime
- Travel up to 10%

Pay Range
- $27 - $33 per hour
