Mikron Automation inaugurates BoudryNext and opens a new chapter in Boudry

Boudry, 27 October 2026 – After two years of construction work, Mikron Automation has officially inaugurated BoudryNext, the extension of its Boudry site, in the presence of representatives from the cantonal and municipal authorities, Mikron management, as well as customers, partners and suppliers. With an investment of CHF 30 million, BoudryNext marks a new milestone in the development of the site and confirms Mikron’s long-term commitment to Boudry. 
BoudryNext creates new opportunities for teams to collaborate more closely and better serve customers. The project brings together, at a single site, the expertise, infrastructure and technologies needed to support automation projects from initial concept through to production. 
With a total surface area of 22,000 m² and 650 employees, the site now features a 7,500 m² Fine-Tuning area, where automation solutions are integrated, tested and validated before delivery to customers. The 4,800 m² Smart Office brings teams closer together and encourages agile collaboration. The customer campus has also been expanded by 900 m² to include a Tech Center dedicated to innovation and development, with a focus on knowledge sharing and exchanges with customers. 
The new customer component storage area complements this setup, providing capacity for 2,000 Euro pallets. An advanced warehousing system ensures end-to-end traceability and secure management of customer components. 

An investment in the future
This investment reflects Mikron’s confidence in the long-term development of its activities, the competitiveness of Swiss industry, and the expertise available in Boudry.

Two years of construction and collaboration
The completion of BoudryNext required two years of construction work and close collaboration between the Mikron team and the many stakeholders involved in the project. As general contractor, BAT-MANN oversaw the project from the start of construction to the completion of the site extension. 
During the inauguration, Lorenz Buri also highlighted the quality of the collaboration with the cantonal and municipal authorities, whose support and constructive dialogue contributed to the successful completion of the project. 
The inauguration provided an opportunity to thank all the partners, companies, craftspeople, engineers and employees who took part in BoudryNext and contributed to making it a reality. 
With BoudryNext now fully operational, Mikron Automation is opening a new chapter in Boudry. The extension creates the conditions for the company's continued development, supports its customers' projects and reinforces its long-term presence in the region.
