Mikron stands for machining, automation, and tool solutions that deliver the highest productivity, precision, and quality. The increasing scarcity of energy and raw materials is a major challenge the Mikron Group is resolutely facing up to. The Company thus takes responsibility for the environment at every link in the value chain very seriously. 

Mikron does business in a responsible and ethical manner and is committed to contributing to circular economies and long-term sustainable development, taking different needs into account. In this regard, the Mikron Group acknowledges its responsibility in the circular economy, towards its suppliers, its customers, its employees and most importantly in the environmental impact generated by its business practices. 

The Mikron Group works hard to continuously improve its standards, following recognized and international standards. Since 2017, it has annually published a Sustainability Report guided by the globally recognized principles of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). 

In addition, has already achieved different ISO certificates, notably the: 

  • ISO 9001 (Quality Management)
  • ISO 14001 (Environmental Management)
  • ISO 45001 (Occupational health and safety management systems for the Swiss entity in Agno)
  • ISO 13485 for medical pre-production at the USA entity in Denver plant

Furthermore, the Mikron Group has also debuted a partnership with one of the world’s leading sustainability rating providers: the platform EcoVadis. Mikron submits annually its data to an assessment by EcoVadis. The assessment process involves a detailed analysis by a team of experts on environmental performance, ethics and work-related issues, and human rights.
