Executive Management

Executive Management is responsible for the management of the Group insofar as this task has not been assigned by law, the Articles of Association or the Organizational Rules to any other corporate body.

It prepares the strategy, the long-term and mid-term targets and the management guidelines for the Mikron Group before submitting them to the Board of Directors for discussion and approval. Executive Management Management regularly reports to the Board of Directors on current business developments, anticipated opportunities and risks, as well as changes at lower management levels.

Marc Desrayaud took over as CEO of the Mikron Group effective 1 June 2021. After working in management positions at ABB, Rieter Textile Machinery and Autoneum, Marc Desrayaudhas held various positions at Oerlikon between 2012 and 2021, last as Head of Business Unit Balzers Industrial Solutions.

Philippe Wirth joined the Mikron Group as its Chief Financial Officer in 2024. Previously he held various senior finance positions and was Director of a Global Business Transformation Program at METTLER TOLEDO, CFO at Crealogix, and CFO of Gurit.

Philip Kraus

Philip Kraus joined Mikron Automation in October 2025 and, effective January 1st, 2026, assumed the position of Head of Division Automation. Philip Kraus has built a strong leadership career across the automotive, industrial, and automation sectors. From 2004 to 2018, he held several management positions at MAN Truck & Bus. He then served as Head of Division Marine & Industry at RENK from 2018 to 2022. Most recently, he was Managing Director at BBS Automation from 2022 to 2025. Nationality: German (DE), born 1982

Matteo Castiglioni

Matteo Castiglioni joined Mikron Machining in 2016 as Local Service Manager, before taking over the role of General Manager, and since 2023 he has served as Head of the Machining Division. He began his professional career at Sulzer Textil—then part of Itema weaving—where he held various positions ranging from R&D to Purchasing & Operations and later served as Group Product Manager for rapier weaving machines. He subsequently spent seven years as Director of Sales and Marketing in the fiber optics sector at Diamond SA. Nationality: Italian (IT), born 1978

Elio Lupica

Head of Division Tool

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration

Elio Lupica began his career at Mikron in 1996 in Financial Accounting, where he later became Department Head and subsequently Division Controller for Mikron Machining. In 2004, he transferred to Mikron Tool and took responsibility for Finance, Controlling, and Logistics. In the following years, he played a key role in the successful establishment of Mikron Tool Monroe and Mikron Tool Shanghai. On January 1, 2016, he assumed management of the Agno plant, and since the end of 2022, he has served as Head of the Tool Division. Nationality: Swiss (CH), born 1973
