Your main tasks

As a Controls Engineer I you will contribute to the proper design of all control systems within Mikron Automation. You will be responsible for programming systems to test and participate in debug phases to ensure contracted functionality for our customers systems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate excellent knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLC / HMI programming methods. At least +3 years of experience preferred and ability to create complex program from scratch
  • Demonstrate Advanced servo motion and VFD experience (startup, debug, tuning). Experience with Robots a plus but not required
  • Demonstrate Advanced Safety knowledge of Industrial Machinery, ability to design safety circuit from scratch
  • Ability to Design, Setup and troubleshoot Local and Remote IO
  • Ability to integrate 3rd party equipment such as laser system, leak tester, …Familiar with Standards (NFPA 79 Electrical Standard for Industrial Machinery, UL 508A, NEC, UL)
  • Demonstrate Advanced knowledge of electrical hardware used for Industrial Machinery.
  • Good troubleshooting skills (software and electrical)
  • Interpret electrical schematics and ability to redline
  • Ability to design and setup Industrial Networking
  • Attend Project Design reviews 

Required Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

  • Bachelor of Science degree, or 2 years of relevant work experience with clear aptitude in core skills and competencies
  • Or internationally recognized that is equivalent
