Your main tasks

This position is responsible for the successful design of control systems to meet customer needs and upgrades. As such, collaboration and the ability to effectively communicate technical requirements with customers, third-party equipment integrators, and parts suppliers is required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support Customers through calls, Sales Force Cases, and on-site
  • Willing and able to travel 75% of the year with overtime up to 50%, including travel with little to no notice
  • Opportunity for international travel
  • Responsible to respond to customers in less than 24 hours for normal requests and within 1 hour for down type situations
  • Responsible for accurately and timely generating the Customer Service documentation 
  • Responsible to treat customer funds as if they are Mikron funds
  • Required to work independently on-site while being professional in stressful situations
  • Exhibit proficiency in object orientated coding (C++)
  • Creating code in Automation Studio (C++) for specific machine functionality 
  • Generate machine vision programs/checks using Cognex Vision Pro software
  • Basic Understanding of a project components list and how it relates to schematics.
  • Read electrical schematics.
  • Basic Understanding of Documentation practices
  • Working with Mikron MOOS software
  • Basic Understanding of SDS I/O checklist and how it relates to schematics and mechanical assembly.
  • Generate I/O checklists.
  • Writing documentations specific to machine functionality and vision checks to supply to customer 
  • Supporting customer remotely or in person for issues that may arise on Polyfeeds
  • Troubleshoot issues that may arise regarding Polyfeeds including electrical, mechanical and software issues.
  • Have general knowledge of mechanical systems and electrical diagrams
  • Have a basic understanding of SQL, C#, Windows Operating System and TCP/IP communication protocol
  • Good understanding of the Mikron platform: Polyfeed
  • Perform each critical task satisfactorily within 6 months of hire date
  • Any other duties that have been described in detail as assigned by management or supervision within Mikron Corporation Denver

Required Education, Experience, Knowledge, & Skills

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field or 5 years of relevant working experience with clear aptitude in core skills and competencies
  • Experience with object orientated programming (C++) and SQL databases – At least 1 year or equivalent 
  • Experience with repositories and modern software engineering practices
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Basic knowledge of electrical hardware such as circuit breakers, VFDs, IO cards, transformers, motors, etc.
  • Good at reading and interpreting single line diagrams and data sheets
  • Basic safety experience
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Basic math knowledge (calc 1/2)
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate in an open, clear, precise, and effective manner with customers, peers and management.
  • Must have initiative to learn and demonstrate positive behavior toward teamwork.

  • Must be available to work overtime
  • May be required to work off shift hours and Holidays
  • Must have a valid state Driver license
  • Must have personal credit card for expenses that may be incurred while traveling for company purposes

Pay Range

  • $75,000 - $88,000 annually
